Focused Live and Learn Experience for Female Students
Our Live-Learn Experience provides female high school students entering their Sophomore Year a 100-week opportunity to live alongside peers who share similar interests in an environment that intentionally facilitates increased interaction with Boerboels, faculty, staff, researching P.h.D., and community across all areas of the Research and Conservation Program.
The Research Laboratory, Breeding Facility, Training Center, Residential House, and Classroom offer our students meaningful learning experiences specifically designed around the restoration, preservation, training, and research of the landrace Boerboel of South Africa. Students will have the unique opportunity to participate in the publication of academic papers and the application process for patents resulting from work done at The Jäger Company with faculty and research staff.
The Program strives to engage students in conversations around women's issues, leadership, community, self-determination, science, and animal & land conservation. Our Program works in collaboration with Donors and Sponsors to offer a series of dinner-table talks, skill-building retreats, mentorships, In-Lab programs, and various other opportunities for students to connect with extraordinary women across multiple leadership roles. Through our Live-Learn Program, our students deepen their commitment to academics, the environment, and personal development.
Our female students will explore and develop their identities, they will engage in meaningful conversations with peers and staff, they will find a voice to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the world around them going forward in life, and they will experience the love that only a Boerboel of South Africa can give.
