Our Mission
The non-profit mission of The Jäger Company is to build and maintain Immersive Academic and Personal Development Programs for hard-to-learn readers entering their Sophomore year of high school. The Jäger Company’s Boerboel Breeding Center Program is an experiential learning program for adolescent female students that have been diagnosed as dyslexic. The Live-Learn program is 100 weeks in length for sophomore and junior year of high school and is centered around the operation of a Breeding Center for the conservation and preservation of the landrace canine and protected species of South Africa, the Boerboel, the earliest know support animal.

Protect the FUTURE through the restoration of the PAST.
The Boerboel has been declared an indigenous landrace of South Africa and is protected under an Act of Parliament through the AIA (Animal Improvement Act). Today it is threatened, tomorrow it will be lost to us.
Some of the Earth's greatest but least known creations are being threatened beyond repair. The general public is aware of iconic animals like the elephant, tiger, and gorilla, but has very little knowledge of the landrace animals that have supported our survival throughout human history. The landrace Boerboel of South Africa is one of these significant animals and is unfortunately one of the last of the landrace dogs that still have a chance to not be lost. The Boerboel was formed by the South African landscape and Boers for three centuries and is recognized as one of the first “Support Animals.” The Jäger Company’s Nonprofit mission is the restoration of these special animals through strict conservation, research, and a restorative breeding program. We have successfully achieved a handful of our early GOALS, most notably securing the native support and proper genetics for our Restoration Program to begin, but we cannot achieve our MISSION alone.
