The Student.

She is a female student entering her sophomore year of high school. She is eager for the opportunity to experience a Live-Learn community that enables her to author the life she envisions herself to live. She is inspired to learn and work with peers who want to make a difference in the fields of animal conservation, science, and leadership. She understands that the “illusion of choice” means the only choice is the choice that enables her goal.

Explore. Discover. Revolutionize. Change. Take Action. At Jäger Company, students will be challenged to expand their academic horizons. They will not only experience but become a part of the cutting-edge world of research and science. In this community, they will be encouraged to explore their passions, whether it is through the world of science, conservation, business, or leadership. Academic support, mentorships, and interactions with P.h.D. candidates researching their thesis are all a part of the situated Live Learn Program at The Jäger Company. Students will be afforded the unique opportunity to learn alongside their peers and become an active member of a community with dynamic and stimulated people who are invested in advancing the scientific world

Living with others from a variety of backgrounds is an education in and of itself, which provide students with new insights and perspectives.

The Jäger Company is more than a residential academic program away from home, it is also where students can learn and practice leadership, and be involved in community of engagement. By living on a Research and Conservation campus students develop a sense of self, build connections, and belong to a community that understands one’s ability to make a difference through Self, Science, and Conservation. We have a 100-Week residential curriculum and personal development program designed to teach and build upon the responsibility of self-determination and discipline.

The Jäger Company holds a deep conviction that living and learning are inseparable pursuits and that faculty and attending university researchers involvement is vital for the success of our program. We believe that the best learning occurs through intentional efforts to create an atmosphere of academic pursuit through our Research Laboratory, Breeding Kennel, Training Center, Campus, and Classroom. In accordance with this belief, The Jäger Company’s focus is to support and create a residential learning environment devoted to our beliefs and the support of our students.

Program Highlights.

• Female students entering their Sophomore Year of high school.

• 100-Week Live and Learn Program starting August 1st and ending July 1st of the second year.

• Students study Core Academics and participate in the daily Research and Conservation of the landrace Boerboel of South Africa.

• Community and authentic friendships in a space where students pursue and explore their strengths and curiosity to make a change.
